Pinterest Problems

Phew, it’s been a while since I last blogged so I figured I would pick back up since I have a little downtime.

Ask just about any girl about her dream wedding and before she’s gotten a ring on her finger she’s probably planned her future wedding in her head or electronically on Pinterest boards (probably secret boards so no one thinks you’re weird, but we’ve all been there).

If you’re not on Pinterest, I highly recommend joining because it’s stocked with great DIY ideas, recipes, aspirational photos, pretty much anything you could think of for everyday life. I know personally prior to my engagement, I had already thought of color schemes, my wedding dress and decor from skimming through various pages on Pinterest.

Fast forward to post-engagement and early into wedding planning, while viewing my Pinterest boards reality starts to set it… All of those wonderful, magnificent, resplendent ideas actually cost money (a lot of money). So I quickly found that Pinterest is a blessing and a curse when it comes to wedding planning. Try not to get too bummed that your fantasy wedding may not turn out exactly like your magical Pinterest wedding, but it will be wonderful regardless.

In the midst of wedding planning my bridesmaids and I use Pinterest boards to send ideas for bridal showers, hairstyles, and other ideas along the way. It really has been a great resource for me when during this time. Once the wedding is over I’ll be deleting my 10 wedding-related Pinterest boards, but I’m sure I’ll replace them with new ones like baby rooms, home decor and seasonal dog outfits or something quirky like that and I can’t wait!
