There’s a little over a month until my wedding date and I’ve had a relatively easy planning process so it totally makes sense that at some point something was bound to go wrong….

I was perusing Facebook as I do from time to time and I stumbled across a story someone posted about a local bakery closing without notice. I clicked on the link and to my shock and horror, it was the bakery that I had booked to create my wedding cake that closed this week without notice.

Thankfully, people in the wedding cake industry are welcoming those of us left hanging in the midst of this scandal and offering to help any way they can. Also, my friends have all offered their help searching for a new cake vendor and a special thanks to Valisha, one of my awesome bridesmaids, who has given me some amazing options.

I’m confident that I will overcome this little crisis in no time. I mainly feel terrible for those brides and grooms with weddings this weekend and sincerely hope they are able to pull through and not have this throw a hitch in their big day!
