I hate to write about mundane things that happen in my life, but last week I went to the dentist and I came to the realization that pregnancy is so weird! Everyone knows where babies come from and how they get here, but there are a lot of things that occur in between that you don’t really know until you’re pregnant.

Pregnancy affects your whole body — even things that you never thought were related. I’m going to spare you some details, but here are a few possible pregnancy side effects:

• Gingivitis
• “Glowing” skin
• Breakouts
• Itchy skin
• Nosebleeds
• Excessive salivation
• Swollen hands and feet

Even though these things are really random and pregnancy has its unpleasant moments, being pregnant is great! There are also great benefits like the sweet bundle of joy that comes at the end.
