The only thing better than the weekend is a holiday weekend! I love getting an extra day off to run around the city, shop or relax. This weekend, I had a lot to do and pretty much hit the ground running once I left work.

On Friday, I saw Dreamgirls at Dallas Center Theater and it was an amazing show! I went with my friend Madelyn and we sang almost every song, I’m sure we annoyed people all around us. If you have a chance, catch the show before it ends later this month.

I also celebrated my best friend Ashlee’s birthday at her float party. You may be wondering — what is a float party?! It’s a pool party, but everyone was encouraged to bring creative pool floats and the person with the best float wins a prize.

The pool was covered in floats and we all had a blast. I feel like I won, but I found out later that I didn’t… there’s always next year!
