MILF Approved Swimwear

I’m almost 8 months postpartum and though my body isn’t exactly where I want it to be, I’m not deterred from throwing on a swimsuit and taking a dip to cool off in this Texas heat. Maybe its the fact that I’ve been listening to Fergie’s MILF $ on repeat for about a month, but I definitely feel an extra shot of confidence. The present day MILF (Mom I’d Love to Follow) is an expanding concept of strength, brains and style.

I absolutely love bold colors and prints in the summer.  Right now, my problem spot is my stomach, so I try to draw attention away from that area when selecting swimsuits. There’s no need to feel self conscious by the pool as a mom or a person who has put on a few extra pounds, there are still great options out there for you.

I shop at Macy’s a lot because they’re nearby and they have variety of home and clothing styles that I like, so it’s kind of an easy go-to for me. I’m really fond of their Bar III line and found some MILF-y swimwear items. If you can relate to body challenges, here are some great concepts to consider.

A High Waisted BottomBar III Printed Underwire Midikini Top | $12

This Midikini top is longer than a normal bikini top and paired with a high waisted bottom, you can feel covered while wearing a two piece. The bottoms featured are currently out of stock, but you can pair it with solid bottoms for a similar feel.

Eye-catching DetailsBar III Cutout Macramé Monokini Swimsuit | $44

Black is always slimming and the macrame details on the sides draws the eye away from your midsection.

Conscious Cutouts
Bar III Flocked Together Cutout Monokini Swimsuit | $66

Cutouts enhance the old concept of covering yourself a one piece. The design on this swimsuit is also detailed enough to hide imperfections.

DrapingBar III Draped Monokini One Piece Swimsuit | $66

The draping covers the stomach completely and provides a modest bust-line.

Distracting DesignsBar III Printed Maillot One Piece Swimsuit | $44

The vertical lines in this design elongate your frame and distract attention from unflattering abs.

I hope these looks help you stay cool. Remember, your comfort is always the most important thing. Haters gonna hate ✌🏽️
