Twelve days ago, I reached a pinnacle in my life that I had never given much thought to in the past… I turned 31. After 21 it seemed like the next big milestone was 30, but 30 came and went as I waddled my 7 months pregnant frame from place to place.

Though 31 isn’t a standard milestone birthday, I felt different. I can truly say that I have grown leaps and bounds in the road to 31. Along this road, I got married, became a mom and I’m approaching the 10 year mark from graduating college — almost makes me feel old! (Almost but not really because age is nothing but a number!) In addition to those life accomplishments, I matured with the process of aging.

While looking at old pictures, I realized my birthday outfits for the last 2 years have been green. Green represents prosperity, life and growth. What better color to represent my 30s?
