While spreading cheer on my last workday before Christmas, I decided to share a few things that helped me get through this holiday season with most of my sanity.
- Kroger ClickList – Journey’s birthday was earlier in the month and in the middle of planning, pulling together a menu and all the other things I had going on, I was overwhelmed with how much I had to do. I heard about Kroger Click List, but finally decided to give it a try the weekend of her party. It was AMAZING!!! I logged onto their website, accessed ClickList then selected and paid for my items. I was able to schedule a pick up time that worked for my busy schedule and upon arrival during my time slot, I called and an employee brought out the items and loaded them into my car. The best thing is that there is no obligation and the first 3 shops are free. Otherwise its $5 (which is worth it in my opinion). I’ve been telling all my friends about it that in the midst of holiday party planning!
- Ebates – I’ve been doing a lot of online shopping this season so I make sure to log on through my Ebates account each time I make a purchase online. By signing up through Ebates, you can get cash back on your online (and now some in-store) purchases. In this month alone, I’ve made about $35 in cashback! Ebates also lets you know about sales and promotional codes available on different retailers’ sites. You can sign up for an Ebates account using my referral link here.
- RetailMeNot – RetailMeNot is another online website that compiles sales and promotional codes from retailers and patrons. They’re also a new player in the cash back program like Ebates, but I haven’t used this feature with them. I generally use RetailMeNot when I am in a store and don’t have the store’s coupons on me. You can pull a coupon up right on your phone… and who doesn’t want to save?? It’s SO easy and there are tons of stores and codes on their site, I check here every time I’m shopping in the store or online with various retailers.
- Macy’s – Macy’s has been the real MVP this year! I love that they offer great clothing options for men, women, and children plus home goods, perfumes and other beauty items. They also extend their hours during the holidays which helps so that you don’t have to be in the last minute hustle and bustle. I’ve been ordering items online and using their In Store Pick Up service in which they have the items pulled that you purchase the same day or the following day. I ordered a few items yesterday, got an email that they were ready a few hours later and decided to pick them up this morning when they opened at 8:00AM. The holiday hours vary by store, but the Macy’s stores in my area are open from 8:00AM-12:00AM. Check the Macy’s website for stores and locations in your area.
I’m looking forward to having a weekend filled with family and friends. What are you most looking forward to this Christmas? I hope these little tips help you get ready for the holidays with more time, money and good spirits! Happy shopping to those that still have items to grab!
Merry Christmas from my family to yours!
